Might be a stupid question but won't get an answer if I don't ask - when you get to painting the exo-caged trucks what's the process?

Before the exo is welded into place I pull it off and paint the under side of the tube that goes around the cab. Then its welded into place. If the exo and the body are going to be the same color its much easier. Just paint it all.
If the exo is going to be a different color it will get painted off the truck, and once its welded into place we do the touch up painting on the exo. We paint the body work first so it can dry for the exo touch ups.
With the exo being tight against the body work its very hard to get good paint coverage on the under side of the tubes. That's why the exo is pulled off and painted. Most of the time.

Didn't get a lot done today.

Winch Plate is in.

Some Gusset Work

The space between the two tubes is for the winch rope to go through to the front axle. I still need to do some welding and sanding to make it smooth.

Upper C/O gusset. Going to ad one more.

I purchased the Jancy Slugger hole saws this week. They work great. I was tired of cutting hole with my plasma and then having to clean them up.

The only tube work left is the front fairlead, windshield bars and down the A pillars. We are trying like hell to get it over to the painters next Sunday. But this is what we did today.

Nice work Jason, haven't been on for a while & as expected very impressive. It is the finer detail that makes the difference which is what a lot of people miss, well done champion Applause
